Antique Radios

The collection was started by my father (Bernard E. Forbes) before I was born. My father was a farmer in Marlette Micigan. During his spare time he repaired radios for the neighbors. Always in the basement there was a pile of old radios and old burnt out tubes.

The collection is arranged in twelve pages. Click on the arrows below to go to each page. Then click on an image to enlarge the picture and see a short history of the item.

The next step in my life was the transformation from radios to computers. This is my passion today. I used to own a business with my partner Ray Ebbing. We were junking out old main frames from General Electric, Honeywell, Digital Equipment and Motorola.

Test Equipment and Development Systems

Now that I'm into computers, I have to be creative. I start to program computers. My first computer I used for programming was the Intel 530 or the Intellec 80. This use to run an operating system called ISIS (Intel System Implementation Supervisor). This quickly replaced by CPM (Computer Control Program).
